About Lunasol

I’m Kat, the founder of Lunasol Yoga. My love for yoga began at fifteen, when I stepped into my first hot yoga class. What started as a physical practice soon became a deep exploration of both body and mind. I began practicing regularly and quickly noticed yoga’s profound physical and physiological benefits.
In 2017, a trip to Bali completely immersed me in the yogic lifestyle and inspired me to deepen my understanding of this ancient practice. I completed my 200-hour teacher training the following year in my hometown of Toronto. Soon after, I became a certified kids yoga teacher through Rainbow Kids Yoga.
My love for travel led me across the globe — first to Australia, and now to Aotearoa New Zealand, which has been my home since 2019. In 2024, I completed my 500-hour designation, including a 300-hour trauma-informed yoga training in Auckland, further expanding my knowledge of yoga as a healing practice.

I am a trained early childhood educator and hold specialized yoga training in prenatal yoga, kids yoga, somatics, and yoga nidra. My approach is grounded in traditional Hatha yoga but guided by intuition, creating a warm, supportive space for all to move, breathe, and simply be.

Lunasol Yoga represents movement as therapy, offering a safe and inclusive space for adults, teens, and children of all abilities to explore, connect, and grow.
